Hi guys, it's Flo from s.media, and today I want to talk about YouTube ad hooks. A hook is something you might have seen before on an advert, usually right at the start, something really dramatic that just hooks you in, draws you in, and catches your attention so you watch the rest of the video. You can often create one with music, really dramatic or really loud, or through your visuals, using somebody familiar in the video that your customer already knows, since people are more likely to watch someone they recognise. It can also come from dramatic editing, or editing that contrasts strongly with the rest of the video, anything that makes somebody stop and think, wow, what's that, and want to keep watching because that first moment was so interesting.

There are other aspects of a YouTube advert worth featuring alongside a hook, and there will be more videos on that in future, Katie is actually doing one on that, so it is worth checking hers out too. But that is what a YouTube ad hook is, and it is well worth featuring one in your adverts, because they really are that important. That's all from me today, I will see you again in another video sometime, and look out for more from the rest of the team here at s.media.
