Hi everyone, I'm Sinead and I'm at s.media. Video traffic from mobile devices is always growing, because people keep getting new phones, more data, better phone deals and easier access to wifi. I've watched my own mum finally upgrade from an old Nokia to a smartphone, and mobile internet traffic is going to keep rising because of it. When it comes to mobile internet traffic that's specifically a result of video content, that's set to reach 79 percent by the year 2022, which is phenomenal when you think about it. If you're a business owner or a marketing manager or director and you're not already using video content, this really should be part of your plans and strategy.
If you type your product or service area into YouTube, you might find there's already a video at the top of those ten results, and if there isn't, that's a great opportunity to be first, because as consumer habits change and we all consume more visual content, you'll be at the top of that listing instead of fighting for position one, two, three, four or five on the first page of Google. Go and see what's happening with your own keyword search terms, and remember that Google has been favouring video content for some years now, so it's likely to stay that way.
